A weekly box of 6–8 seasonal vegetables and greens, picked the same morning. What goes in changes with the season.
All year
Vegetables
Rayo saag, spinach, fenugreek, coriander and lettuce, grown under mulch without any sprays.
Winter (Kartik–Falgun)
Cauliflower, cabbage, radish, carrot, peas and broad beans from our multi-layer beds.
Mangsir–Falgun
Bottle gourd, sponge gourd, bitter gourd, pumpkin, okra, cowpea and cucumber, grown on bamboo trellises.
Chaitra–Bhadra
Local and open-pollinated varieties, picked ripe for flavour rather than for shelf life.
Taro (pindalu), yam (tarul), sweet potato and turmeric from the lowest layer of our food forest.
Poush–Magh
Fruits
Tree-ripened fruit from our food forest, never ripened with carbide.
Jestha–Asar
Fast-growing fruit that shades our young trees and fruits almost all year round.
Hardy Terai fruit from the middle layers of the food forest.
Livestock
Healthy local goats raised on open pasture and farm fodder. Ask us about availability.
Free-ranging birds that forage in our paddies and orchards. No growth promoters, ever.
Raised on fresh greens from the farm. Their manure goes straight into our compost.
Flowers
Bright marigolds for Tihar, weddings and puja. In the fields they also keep pests away from our vegetables.

Long-lasting flowers for garlands and Bhai Tika, loved by bees and butterflies.

Grains & pulses
Grown in our rice–duck–fish paddies, then milled lightly so the nutritious bran stays on.

Whole wheat, and flour ground at the local chakki mill.
Chaitra–Baisakh
Rich in calcium and iron, for dhido, roti and porridge.
Masuro, maas and rahar, grown between our cereals to feed the soil with nitrogen.
Dairy & eggs
From our own grass- and fodder-fed animals. We also make ghee and dahi.
Daily
Our birds roam free, eat insects and farm scraps, and control pests while they do it.
Fish & pond
Rohu, naini, bhakur and common carp raised in our pond and fed by the farm.
Native Terai species that thrive in our pond and paddies. Caught fresh, in season.
Freshwater shrimp, crab and ghongi (pond snail), a Terai delicacy rich in protein and calcium.
Monsoon & autumn
Achar & dried
Mango, radish, lemon and chilli achar, sun-cured in mustard oil from our own produce.
Traditional dried meat, smoked and sun-dried the old way.
Fermented, sun-dried radish, the heart of a good sinki ko jhol.

Strong seedlings raised in a natural potting mix, ready for your kitchen garden or field.
